We believe that learning English is not just about acquiring a language; it’s about gaining the essential skills needed to thrive in the real world, and building an identity that will serve us as a global learner and citizen. English proficiency enables you the opportunities to rise through the ranks in your company, manage multinational projects, and study abroad and travel freely.  

 

What You’ll Learn

Week 1: Building a Strong Foundation
  • Recognize and comprehend common vocabulary and expressions
  • Communicate basic personal information
  • Identify main ideas and key details in basic texts.
  • Write simple sentences and short paragraphs with correct grammar and punctuation.
  • Understand and apply basic grammatical structures (e.g., present simple, past simple, present continuous).
  • Develop basic study habits and routines for English practice.
Week 2: Real life Scenarios
  • Develop speaking and listening skills for real-life interactions
  • Understand and use common and related vocabulary
  • Practice asking and answering questions confidently and fluently
  • Organize and structure presentations effectively
  • Express opinions, interests, and preferences
Week 3: Develop Your Ideas
  • Enhance written communication skills for professional settings
  • Develop critical thinking and speaking skills in group settings
  • Express opinions, provide arguments, and support claims in discussions
  • Engage in active listening and respond appropriately to others’ viewpoints
  •  Develop fluency, conversational skills, and cultural understanding
Week 4: Speak up and Share
  • Participate in role-playing scenarios, such as customer service interactions, job interviews, or negotiations
  • Practice using appropriate language, tone, and gestures for specific roles.
  • Develop empathy and cultural sensitivity by assuming different perspectives
  • Expand vocabulary and fluency through consistent interaction with language partners

Duration: 4 weeks, 8 classes

Quota: 12 people (Min. 6 to start class)

Suited for: Upgrading English and business skillsets

Price: $5800 ($3200 for current students and alumni of Generation)

Jessica Ng has over nine years of experience in digital marketing, focusing on education innovation, personal and community development. She believes that successful marketing lies in creating authentic, relatable communications and having a deep understanding of various digital tools.

She specializes in training and coaching using improvisational comedy and design thinking frameworks. She has extensive performance and programming experience in stand-up and improvisational comedy, and a strong believer in the power of humor to help develop one’s point of view and uniqueness.

She has worked with B Corporations, social enterprises, university students and government departments in Hong Kong to achieve the best results in their marketing and communications while fostering empathy and entrepreneurship.
